July 2025 Minutes (Allotments Group)
Allotments meeting 31st July at 6:30pm
Present: Cllr’s Walker, Donnellan and Bowen, Clerk Sarah Kulwicki and members of the allotments: Richard Golding, Dave Peason and Mr and Mrs Burell.
Apologies: Cllr Mason.
Items to note:
• Waiting list currently has 25 waiting to join.
• 1 Plot is unusable due to tree roots, and this area is being used to burn rubbish on site
• 2 Plots are inactive, and members have been given notice to clear their plots.
• Fees are currently £24 per year per plot (18 plots) from 1st April the fee will be £36.00.
• Allotments committee members are Dave Pearson- Chairman, Mr Burell- treasurer and Brian Connor.
• When a plot is let the fee is £50 to secure the plot and £25 is given back when the plot is relinquished in good order otherwise it is retained to help with plot clearance.
• If unused for a season the plot will be revoked.
• It was recommended to cut back trees only where overhanging next to allotment car parking area and depose of rubbish themselves.
