14th November - HR and Finance Minutes
Notes from the Finance and HR committee meeting held on the 14th November 2024 at 6:45pm in the Allan Barker
Present: Cllr(s) Moorhouse, Bowen, Mason and Olive.
Also attended: Cllr(s) Waites, Walker and Donnellan.
1. To resolve to move into closed session as required- Under the Public Bodies (admissions to meetings) Act 1960 and the Local Government Act 1972, ss 100 and 102
a) Employment issues

Clerks Kathy Roberts and Sarah Kulwicki to joined the meeting at 6:45pm
2. To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Town Clerk prior to the meeting.
Apologies received from Cllr T Bannister
3. To elect a Chairman for the HR & F committee for the coming year.
Proposed by Cllr Mason for Cllr Moorhouse to chair the meeting, seconded by Cllr Bowen and RESOLVED.
4. To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.
Cllr Bowen declared and interest in any items relating to DIVSS youth club.
5. To discuss the budget proposal prepared for financial year 25/26 and prepare a statement of findings and reasons for any changes for presentation at full Council Nov 28th
Recommended for the precept to remain the same as the previous year, £143,000.00 and be presented to council at the next normal meeting.
6. To discuss future employment developments and appointments as required.
Proposed by Cllr Mason, seconded by Cllr Bowen and RESOLVED to advertise for an admin assistant for 5 hours per week at £12.34. Hours to increase after 3-month probation period.
