Mr Derek Cook was today 7/8/2020 presented with the Rickard Trophy for his services to the Community, Mr Cook said he was delighted to receive an award for doing something that had been so enjoyable, having been introduced to the Coningsby Community Hall Committee over 40 years ago by a friend Mr Eric Milson, who said we could do with some more members on the committee why don’t you join us? Within a very short time Eric decided he had been Chairman long enough and recommended Derek for the position which he has held ever since; Derek went on to say that he wanted to thank the whole of the hall committee because as Chairman you are only as good as the team members; he wished to pass on genuine thanks all committee members past and present he has enjoyed working with everyone of you!
Many thanks for the nomination and the honour of holding the Rickard Trophy for the year.
The Rickard family were not able to be with us for the presentation but sent a note of thanks to Mr Cook a thoroughly deserving candidate for the trophy, congratulations. Ruth Sharples (Rickard) & Martin Rickard
