So today our amazing ladies tried their hand at a tournament in Grimsby against some really good opposition. Our results were 2v1 to us against Louth Ladies with Alice scoring both goals. Onto the second game with a 1v0 win over the Northern Lionesses. Game three was a valiant effort against a good Cleethorpes side with us eventually loosing 1v0. Then our last game saw the 4 back to back games really take their toll with a 4v1 defeat against Lincoln imps. But the amazing start we had ensured we finished 2nd in the final table but with a rematch against the eventual tournament winners, Lincoln Imps in the semi final. With Lincoln running out 2v0 winners. Everyone of the ladies today played their socks off with smiles on their faces and should be so proud of the teamwork and camaraderie they showed in every game, playing walking football in the right way. Everyone of the ladies deserves a mention today for how well they did but an extra special mention goes out to our Captain for the day, penalty saving and goal saving shot stopper, Vanessa.
