1. Apologies from Cllr Mason and Firth.
2. Notes from the last meeting 6th June 2024, used for reference and agreed as a true record.
3. Coningsby Football Club (CFC) Report:
Steve Berry reported that they have had a good season. To run the two teams is costs £800 per year plus the children’s training sessions. The football clubs’ reserves are down to one years running costs. The FC reported that they were disappointed with the additional bills from the use of the MUGA for their training sessions, as they understood that this included more than 1 training sessions for the FC and the youth team not just one for the FC. There was also a delay with the additional light installation which has postponed the team being able to use the grassed pitch for training sessions. The FC have increased their fee to £5 for members to help cover costs as the price for a referee has also increased. The FC reported that they have a registered volunteer come and cut the youth pitch and lower pitch so it can be played on to the FA standards. The FC are unable to use the upper pitch for their games due to its current condition and infestation of rabbits. The told all that they are able to use the mud collected at Coningsby cemetery to carry out some repairs.
The CFC requested the following:
• A3 stick on wall logo for home team
• Painting of the coat hooks in the home team to red
• MUGA usage inclusive for the youth team and adult team for training sessions
• Lights to be fitted as already instructed
• A cost breakdown of what they are currently paying
• Request for no dog walkers on Thursday evening and Sunday mornings when the children are playing matches/ training
• A fenced of football pitch
• Repairs to be carried out on upper raised pitch so it can be used
• An additional full-sized pitch to be marked out so they can use it while the upper pitch is repaired.
• More signage on field for dogs on leads
The clerk informed all that the lights will be done on the week commencing the 9th of June. The base for the storage container will be done mid-June and the replacements drains outside the pavilion are to follow. The council are looking for CCTV to cover the container and one field on the MUGA/ current grass youth pitch. The council are still waiting for the FC to do their grant applications for a storage container.
The football club left the meeting at 7:25pm
4. Other matters:
The clerk was asked to find out who owns the drain which runs under the Alan Barker field and get some prices for rabbit control. No dogs signage was also discussed for the basketball court.
